It provides a current processor (i-series) at a very affordable price. The screen is very clear and bright, making photos stand out. It size is 1366 x 768, slightly smaller than I have been use to which might be a problem if you need lots of option windows open. The cooling fan kicks in a lot on graphical apps, which might put some people off.

Review:Nice machine…wish I upgraded to Win7 pro so I could run xp mode…most old programs run well in compatibility mode… I am sick of seeing windows 7 commercials with side snap…MINE DOES NOT WORK. oh well I can move and resize windows ok.

I been looking for a replacement laptop for a couple of months and opted for this Inspiron 1564. I am very pleased with my choice.
A great looking laptop. Nice lightweight, slim design with a great screen. Impressed with Windows 7. Only slight issue is DVD drive is not completely flush with body and because I choose a FastTrack model I did not get the option for bluetooth.

Pros: Looks,display,great performance.

Cons: Base on underside left runs slightly warm, fans kicks in regularly although it is very quiet. Disc drive not perfectly flush with body.

Review:I really like the inspiron 15. I purchased it for school purposes. My last computer would not hold a charge, this one stays charged for almost 5 hours which is great for taking notes in class and I only have the 6 cell battery. I like the light weight and slim size, they make it easier to get through tight hallways and desks. I went from Windows XP to Windows 7 and its easy to get used to. All my programs run fairly fast. Overall I would recommend this computer to just about anyone.
